Classes in four academic units will shift to Enriched Virtual Mode of Instruction (EVM) on Sept. 3-6, 8-13, and 15-16 in preparation for the 2025 Bar examinations, according to a memorandum from the Office of the Secretary-General.
Among the academic units included are the College of Commerce and Business Administration, College of Information and Computing Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Letters, and the UST Junior High School.
UST is one of the seven local testing centers in Metro Manila for this year’s Bar exam on Sept. 7, 10, and 14.
All colleges and faculties will shift to EVM on Wednesday, Sept. 10, the second day of the examinations.
The UST Hospital, Carpark, Quadricentennial Pavilion, Santisimo Rosario Parish, Hotel 1611, and Domus Mariae will remain open for the duration of the Bar Examinations.
Unaffected academic and administrative units will proceed with their regular class and office schedules on Sept. 3-9, and 11-16.
Controlled area
Select establishments in the University will be put under the ‘controlled area,’ managed by security personnel from the Supreme Court and the UST Campus Safety and Security office.
The Benavides Building, St. Raymund de Penafort Building, UST Main Building, Miguel de Benavides Library, UST Health Service, and the Tan Yan Kee Student Center are among the buildings included in the controlled area.
