Thomasian leads October 2025 physician boards

A Thomasian stood as the lone topnotcher of the October 2025 Physician Licensure Examinations (PLE), results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday, Oct. 16, revealed.

Kharam Baricaua Molbog, the lone Thomasian on the topnotchers’ list, led the new batch of physicians with a 91.17 percent score.

Molbog obtained his medicine degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 2024.

UST recorded a 98.17 percent passing rate, with 321 passers out of 327 examinees. This signified an increase from the previous rate of 79.22% for the March examinations.

The University also placed fourth in the top-performing schools with 100 or more examinees.

The first three high-ranking schools are the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, ranking first with a 99.05 percent score, University of the East - Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center at second with a 98.86 percent score, and Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health, placing third with a 98.44 percent score.

The PRC recorded a total of 5,900 examinees for the October 2025 PLE in testing centers across the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
